Update on Carlos and Maybelline

Carlos is home from the hospital and already gaining weight. This picture doesn't show how tiny he really is. We are keeping a close eye on him and making sure his very young mother gets him to the clinic every other day to weight him and chart his progress. Keep praying for this family.

Tomorrow morning Maybelline is scheduled to have a C-section. Please pray for safety for her and baby "Jack". She is nervous, but looking forward to finally being able to hold this little guy that we've been waiting for. Pray that the American doctor that we met will be able to attend the birth as Maybelline has more confidence in her that the hospital staff. I'll post pictures when I have them.

So glad to have news of both situations. We're praying. If you get a chance, please tell Maybeline & Yefrin that Cyle & Kelly send their love and prayers.

Wonderful news about little Carlos. We'll continue to pray for him and his mother. Heard from Mark that Maybelline delivered a healthy baby boy this morning. Praise God! Give her and Yefrin our love, too.

Sara,

Thanks you so much for the updates and posting the pictures. They say a picture is worth a thousand words - it is so true. The pictures really add a whole new dimension to this communication! Thanks!

We will continue to pray for the babies and for your trip to renew your visas.

I was just thinking communication goes two ways, so here’s a little news about what’s going on with the RCC youth group, in case you were curious:

-Last weekend we had a R.A.K.E. – Even on a holiday weekend we had enough teens show up that allowed us to help TWO families in our church. We painted a house and did yard work for another. Then we wrapped up the day with a BBQ at Kim and Roger Steven’s home. The weather was perfect!
-We’re busy preparing for Youth Sunday (July 6th). It has been so amazing to see how much the teens have grown spiritually in the past year! Some have gone from sitting alone in corners to stepping up and being leaders and relationship builders – it is such a blessing to see. I’m also very impressed with the Jr. Hi class – we see so much spiritual maturity and potential in the already! Can’t wait to see what God has in mind for them in the future.

The youth group prays for you & your family every week and I pray every time I see your prayer card (usually daily). May God pour out many blessings on you as you continue to serve him!

God bless,
Jayna
